Part-Time Prevention Specialist
Reporting to the Prevention Supervisor, the Prevention Specialist is
responsible for the education of high-risk youth and families using the
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
for accurate completion of monthly reports and other documentation related to
the progress of participants in the program.
and utilizes a research-based curriculum as designated by the program contract
for youth and/or families.
facilitate, and co-facilitates various group, individual, family, and public
pre-tests and post-tests on all participants as designated by the program
crisis intervention and referrals for participants as needed
and participates in the local school, community, staff, and other meetings in
accordance with program needs.
youth supervision in all program activities.
to the professional ethics and conduct of standards as established by Phoenix

and facilitates activities that include meals, snacks, field trips, arts &

in education, social work, or related field preferred.
Prevention Specialist designation preferred
years' experience working with youth in chemical dependency prevention,
intervention, or treatment setting.
One-year of experience working with families is preferred for programs
with family programs.
maintain a valid Texas Drivers' License, have proof of automobile insurance and
